Horse Saddle – Choosing the Right Saddle
Have you ever dreamed of riding a horse? For sure, you have watched those silly old classic movies where cowboys riding so ruggedly on a brown or white horse. They just looked so stunning right? They look so cool, especially when they riding around on a long country road with lush green background.
But apart from the good looking cowboy comes with a well-conditioned horse of course. There is something lacking in the picture, it’s the horse saddle! Cowboys’ never look good on top of the horse without this piece of accessory. This is really useful for those long rides with rough roads.
If you fancy owning your very own horse, you might as well be keen enough to buy a good matching horse saddle. You can choose from a western saddle or an English saddle. The choice really depends upon your preference and what you are comfortable with.
But shopping for horse saddle is not like shopping for a shirt. You need to bring along an experienced horse person who can recommend what brands to choose and if the saddle does fit perfectly. Be sure the horse saddle you are going to buy has a return policy, at least when it does not fit at all you can return the saddle in exchange for another one.
There are certain things that you need to keep in mind when shopping for a horse saddle, for sure any experienced horse person you would bring along will agree. First, the saddle should fit the horse. You don’t want it to keep falling off especially every time you ride on a horse.
Second, the saddle should fit you perfectly. No matter how the saddle fits perfectly on the horse, if it does not fit you, it is just useless. You know if it’s the right fit, when you feel comfortable sitting on top of the saddle. It would take approximately 30-minutes before you can even tell if the saddle is comfortable or not. So, might as well take it out for a test and do about half an hour of riding your horse and have a feel if the saddle is good for you.
When buying a horse saddle, be sure you insist on the seller that you want to try it out first especially if you are buying it from a private person. In this way, you are definitely sure the saddle fits right or not. Not go on the hassles of searching for the seller and return it because it does not fit.
